Welcome to the combined website of Marmax and Showyn Kennels. We are a mother and daughter team of dog lovers who are passionate about what we do. Pearl (Mom) has been involved with dogs since the first time her Grandmother introduced her to a German Shepherd and to dog showing in general. Tammy (daughter) has of course just grown up following in Mom's footsteps and enjoying every minute along the way. We have a joke in our family that states both of us were "born with a leash in our hands". We have both been through a few breeds but at present Pearl has the Corgi's while Tammy is concentrating on Chihuahuas. The Miniature Pinscher page is for information only as we no longer have this breed but chose to leave it up for all to learn a little about this wonderful little breed. However, in our care you may see the occasional"oddball" thrown in as our passion is dogs of all breeds and we are always either training or grooming or showing someone elses dogs.
Our goal at Showyn/Marmax is to produce happy and healthy dogs that conform to the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and American Kennel Club (AKC) standards. We will occasionally have puppies available and when we do they will be posted on the available page but each litter will be bred to (hopefully) bring improvement to the dogs already present. To learn a little about our history in dogs and the many breeds we have had the honor of showing please visit Our Past page...yes that 10 year old girl is Tammy!
At Showyn/Marmax our numbers will be kept small in order that we may provide more than sufficient one on one love and attention to each of our dogs. They all have the run of the house as well as roomy condos when needed (for mamas and babies). We invite you to come on in and have a look at our dogs and their impressive three generation pedigrees. You will notice many Canadian, American and International champions amoung our ancestors. These strong pedigrees will continue our success to date in our hobby.
